Katie Helland

Katie is from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She graduated from the Animal Behavior Institute with certificates in both Wildlife Rehabilitation and Zoology and Aquarium Science in 2017. She first started working with birds in 2016 when she interned at the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, MN. There she led educational programs, as well as worked on handling and training the birds. She furthered her experience with birds working as an intern at the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center in the summer of 2017. As an intern, she gained experience working in a wildlife hospital, as well as taking care of the permanent residents in their sanctuary. Katie then joined us here at REGI in January of 2018.
