Brad Baum

Brad grew up in Stevens Point, WI, where he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with Bachelor of Science degrees in Wildlife Ecology and Biology, and an Associate degree in Captive Wildlife in 2019. Wildlife and the outdoors has been a life-long passion of his, but he has found his niche in the world of birds, especially raptors. During his time as a student at UWSP, he assisted in banding raptors, and songbirds, of many species. He also studied abroad in Greenland, where he worked with wild Arctic Peregrine Falcons. In his free-time, he enjoys volunteering with Central Wisconsin Kestrel Research, where he assists with monitoring and banding of American Kestrel populations.

Brad first joined the REGI team as an education intern during the summer of 2019, and became a full-fledged member of our rehabilitation staff in the summer of 2021; his passion for birds and conservation is constantly growing through the work REGI does.
