Carrie Asplund was born in Wisconsin and has lived most of her life here. Nature and the natural world have been and continue to be her passion. She received a BS in Horticulture from Iowa State University. Upon moving to Wausau with her husband, she raised 3 sons in the DCE school district, where she volunteered in the schools and also in the soccer community.

She was a foster parent in Marathon county for approximately 6 years.

In 1997 Carrie became involved at Raptor Education Group Inc (REGI) as a volunteer and has been involved ever since.
