REGI Mission Statement

Promote increased awareness of and respect for native bird species, their natural behaviors and habitats.
Develop and promote better understanding of the natural history of avian species in both the public and scientific communities.
Develop nutritional protocol, rehabilitation methods and husbandry based on the species' natural history to assure a successful transition into the wild.

Bald eagle release

Qushquluk (above, to the right), a bald eagle from Alaska, has been with Raptor Education Group, Inc. since 1989. Marge Gibson recovered her while working in Alaska as team captain of the Bald Eagle Health Assessment Project following the Valdez Oil Spill.

Released in January of 2004 and affixed with a sattelite transmitter, this eagle is part of our West Nile Virus monitoring study.

REGI flight training building and clinic

One of the largest in the world, this flight training facility is used to teach eagles and other birds to fly. It also is used to help raptors build muscle and social skills necessary in the wild.
