Coddington - The Snowy Owl

On Saturday 1-19-19 we admitted Coddington, a Snowy Owl that came with a bit of celebrity. He had been tagged with a GPS tracker,in Central WI under the direction of Project SNOWstorm. Project SNOWstorm is a conservation organization that is doing amazing things, working through science to better understand the Snowy Owl and contribute to public education of the species and the environment. The transmitter Coddington carried was funded by the Madison Audubon Society.

Coddington remains under our care and doing well. Below is the blog posted today by the Project SNOWstorm organization. It is always a pleasure to work in conjunction with terrific research projects and conservation organizations such as this one. We support Project SNOWstorm and and encourage others to do the same.

We will be updating Coddington's condition, as well as the many patients we've admitted this weekend. It has been a busy time.
Please keep your feeders full of fresh dry seed and be aware of wildlife needs during this frigid period of the winter.
