Crow's Foot Wrapped in Fishing Line

A Common Crow was found in Weston wrapped with fishing line. Her feet were tightly entangled in the line. She was unable to move and was found lying on her back. We see many patients entangled in fishing line each year. (Please make sure to dispose of your old fishing line in a way that is makes it permanently inaccessible to wildlife.) The crow is thin and had a rough night but is now able to stand upright, her legs are working and she is eating on her own.

Please be sure to dispose of your fishing line properly. Never leave it on the ground, always take it home with you and find a place to recycle it, or cut it up into very small pieces before throwing it away. Fishing line is a hazard to all wildlife, not just birds.
