Beautiful Freedom!
Our Snowy Owls are free birds tonight!  The release site was well researched and was exactly what they needed, not wooded and not around civilization. No rodent poisons in use and the area is private land and protected from trapping or hunting.
Abbey called with the news that both Snowy Owls flew strongly and for a long distance before settling on the field. ( normal behavior) Abbey released the female first, Anna then released the male only moments later. When the owls landed, they were only a few yards from each other.

They started the first day of the rest of their life this late afternoon. We could not be happier. We wish them luck and a trouble free future!

The male Snowy Owl was also released by Anna this late afternoon at the same site. Lots of room for them to spread out or stay close if they want. It is up to them now. Love this release view of his legs in full view! That habitat says SNOWY Owl all over it!
