The artists were elated with the excellent mental and physical condition of the birds displayed.

REGI works in conjunction with the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wausau, Wisconsin annually, during the opening of the well known "Birds In Art" show. One of the most popular activities during opening weekend is the trip to R.E.G.I.

The artists can photograph birds indiginous to the United States in natural settings. Seeing the birds is helpful with their work. It allows for a more accurate depiction of the birds themselves, including coloration and delicate features not easily seen in field guides photos. The natural posture of the birds is important in art work as well as the native trees and habitat.
